The Schaub-Zwicky treehouse
Barbara Schaub and Regula Zwicky were entrusted with the treehouse to accommodate a resident with reduced mobility.
Situated at the end of the row towards the village of Montricher, this cabin has access via a large ramp made of metal grating that ends on a small concrete courtyard. Entirely at ground floor to facilitate movement, it is designed to be simple and functional while offering two very beautiful openings overlooking the Alps and the village.
The outside covered with acoya, the exotic wood made from durable resources and stronger than the best hardwoods in terms of durability and longevity. It is set next to the treehouse situated immediately in front of it – from the inside we can’t imagine their proximity.
