The MK27 treehouse
The Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan, the head of the MK 27 studio, wanted to build a treehouse that would encompass another smaller structure.
The box in the box.
On the front there is a large bay window. A staircase under the treehouse provides direct access to the middle of the living area. Inside, a cube, housing the kitchen, bathroom and closets, has a staircase that leads to the room in the superstructure.
Located at the edge of the canopy, the construction of MK 27 completes the alignment of the treehouses facing downhill from the Foundation. This sober element, with its fine vertical lines, completes this side of this small experimental city housing the writers’ residence.
