Alain Goraguer Trio

The discreet hero of numerous stars – the arranger of hits by France Gall, Brigitte Bardot, Juliette Gréco, Jean Ferrat, Georges Moustaki, and Isabelle Aubret, to mention just these few – Alain Goraguer made a name for himself alongside Henri Salvador and later Boby Lapointe. With Boris Vian he signed and sealed a fruitful collaboration and friendship when he co-wrote Je bois, La java des bombes, and Fais-moi mal Johnny. An eminent pianist and composer of superb tunes, some of which have been immortalized on the silver screen – J’irai cracher sur vos tombes (I Spit on Your Grave, 1959) and L’eau à la bouche (A Game for Six Lovers), as well as La planète sauvage (The Fantastic Planet) and L’affaire Dominici – Goraguer has also worked with contemporary performers. The slam poetry performer Abd al Malik sees in him “a symbol of the living heritage of France.” Goraguer now appears very rarely in concert. His appearance with his trio at the Jan Michalski Foundation is an exceptional event.

Jelly Bump

An extension of the Orphéon Celesta Group that brought its melodious and humorous words and music to stages around the world for over thirty years, Jelly Bump draws its inspiration from African-American music of the Roaring Twenties and shares Boris Vian’s passion for jazz. This quintet of seriously madcap musicians return to Vian’s words, which they combine with riotous riffs and rhythms, La complainte du progrès, Trompette d’occasion, J’suis snob, Ah! si j’avais un franc cinquante… During their concert, which will close the festivities of the show opening, Jelly Bump will definitely answer this essential question, Arthur… où t’as mis le corps ? (Arthur… wheredya put the body?).
