The Rintala-Eggertsson treehouse
Sami Rintala is Finnish, Dagur Eggertsson Icelandic and Vibeke Jenssen Norwegian, and their favourite material is wood. Organised on four half-levels and spread around a central staircase, this treehouse is the largest of the site. Each half-level has a function: entrance and bathroom, kitchenette and dining area, sleeping area and balcony, and office at the top. A large bay window opens onto the countryside and a balcony, on the opposite, onto the Foundation and the mountains.
Perfectly situated in the centre of the residence, this “watchtower” overlooks the forecourt of the library and the
work of Jaume Plensa Le Voleur de mots.
